The house is a work of the famous architect Jose Antoni Coderch (the author of the Caixa Tower in Barcelona), who built it in 1965. The design stands out by its well-though distribution and modernity. The Luque Houseis a masterpiece of modern architecture in Catalonia, where space, daily light and natural materials were on focus.

When entering, you pass through a wide and deep porch (the original garage), delimited by the spacious bedroom and the guest rooms. At the back of the garage, a large window, protected by shutters, allows a distant view of the landscape above the roof of the room.

Going down a few steps, you find yourself between the two walls, one of which separates the space from the dining room.

When entering the exquisite living room, we can observe the area from all the four directions: on the one side, we can see the terrace with the swimming pool; on the other — a deep and sheltered porch; in front, behind the fireplace, there is a marvellous landscape; and, behind us, there is a patio, that boasts lots of sunlight. The living room is a pavilion detached from the rest of the rooms and is designed so that you could enjoy the landscape views and disconnect from hustle.

The common area, and in general the whole house, has an exquisite distribution. One of the characteristic solutions is the orthogonal rigor of the layout of the floor. It is also worth highlighting the way in which the overlapping of the walls is used to separate the glass enclosure from the blinds.

The patio is asymmetrical. Thanks to that the central corridor, that connects the bedrooms, starts with the porch and, therefore, provides a direct access to the garden and the living room. The common area is crossed by the two circulation lines, thus, delimiting its four rooms: the living room, the dining room, the patio and the reception.

This is an extraordinary detached house where the architect Coderch experimented with the space, intending to use the characteristics of the local landscape to the maximum. He was taking advantage of the unevenness of the terrain and achieved the optimal orientation for each one.

The almost 400 m2 of the house are divided into the three areas: the day area, the night area and the service area. An interior patio at the centre of the house unites these three areas, providing the best views, privacy, and lots of natural light.

In the night area, we find four bedrooms with their own bathroom and a study-room. In the service area, we have a large kitchen, laundry, storage room and another bedroom. In the day area, we find a magnificent living room, that overlooks the garden, the golf club, and the pool. The property also has a small detached building, now used as a garage.

According to the urban laws of the region, the minimal surface of the plot should be 1,000 m2. In this case there is a legal possibility to request a segregation of the plot, without affecting or invading the space of the house. Thus, it is be possible to build two more single-family houses of 500 m2 each on the two new segregated plots.
